I am an architect and project leader with close to two decades of experience working across institutional campuses, workplaces, and complex development projects. My work sits at the intersection of design, strategy and execution, where I focus on translating vision into structured, buildable systems.
longhorizons is where I publish that thinking: essays on the institutional side of the built environment, frameworks drawn from practice, and research on how projects are procured and transacted. It is independent and personal, and represents no employer or client.
Over time, I have developed a strong inclination towards systems thinking. I prefer to build frameworks, define decision structures, and create clarity in roles and processes rather than rely on ad-hoc solutions. My approach emphasises documentation, traceability, and explicit articulation of trade-offs to enable better decision-making.
I value precision in communication and operate with a focus on being clear, concise, and outcome-oriented. I believe that large and complex projects succeed not only through good design, but through strong governance, aligned teams, and disciplined execution.
